See, the Temple of Trials doesn't care what type of character you created, and unlike the rest of the game, it doesn't let you choose how you approach obstacles. ![]() The Temple of Trials is not only a bleak and extremely unimaginative way to frame a tutorial, as you essentially bump into a guard who essentially says 'I won't let you do anything until you pass the test in the Temple of Trials ', but also screws you over unless you happen to have created a character with the specific skills that will help get you through it. Fallout 2's Temple of Trials is completely at odds with its own ethos of letting you create a character and interact with the world in a way of your choosing. ![]() Here we go again with the dodgy RPG opening levels. ![]()
